Counting to Infinity is a short monologue about a mother reflecting on a terrible act committed by her son. It is part of a larger work-in-progress about mathematics and the hell of high school called Long Division. The monologue was one of four winning pieces chosen for workshop development and presentation at Vancouver-based Solo Collective Theatre’s annual showcase of emerging playwrights, SOLO FLIGHTS 2012.

I was lucky enough to work with the incredibly talented Vancouver actress Kerry Sandomirsky and playwright/director/dramaturg Dave Deveau, both of whom gave generously of their time, insight, and expertise in helping me shape the piece into something meriting a staged reading.

That reading took place on April 23rd at Studio 1398 on Granville Island. Stay tuned for some photo documentation of the event. In the meantime, click
