Research Interests
My
research focuses on the evolution and tectonic setting of sedimentary basins,
especially aspects relevant to understanding the tectonic evolution of the
North American Cordillera. I have a background as a clastic sedimentologist
and experience in geologic mapping, stratigraphic studies and field-oriented
sedimentology. Several current projects focus on the geology and tectonic
setting of Cretaceous sedimentary rocks of the Nanaimo Group in the islands
of the Strait of Georgia and on eastern Vancouver Island. I am also working
on several other Mesozoic and Tertiary basins in the western Canadian Cordillera.
