Political Science Student Union (PSSU)

StudentThe Political Science Student Union is the association responsible for representing the interests and concerns of SFU's Political Science students.  All students currently taking at least one Political Science course are considered members of the Union, as are all students declared in its major, minor, and honours programmes. The goal of the PSSU is to work with both the Political Science Department and the Simon Fraser Student Society (SFSS), to make students' time at Simon Fraser as rewarding as possible.

Representation on departmental committees and in the SFSS Forum provides Political Science students with an opportunity to influence policies and shape discourse on issues that affect them, both as members of the Department and of the University community.

To keep yourself up to date on the activities of the PSSU, contact the executive committee at [ pssu-info@sfu.ca ] or view the PSSU Student Union website. They will be happy to answer any questions about the PSSU and its work. In addition they can place you on the PSSU general email list to keep you informed of meeting times and other PSSU activities. Remember, the PSSU is your student union, but it can only be as effective as its members make it. We hope that you will get involved.
