I grew up in the beautiful island state of Tasmania, Australia, where I completed my BSc and Honours in Zoology. I’ve also worked there on and off for the state government and Australian Antarctic Division; undertaking research on sub-antarctic and antarctic seabird ecology and fisheries bycatch.
I completed my MSc in Biodiversity Conservation and Management on a Rhodes Scholarship in Oxford in 2008, and immediately prior to that I undertook the Integrated Marine Conservation Program as a Global Fellow in Marine Conservation at Duke University.
