Open Book Three Hours

There are two questions on this exam. Do EITHER Question A or Question B. DO NOT DO BOTH. Please write in ink and double space your answers.

Part A. (Worth 100%) One essay on 4 or more authors/filmmaker

Write an essay on ONE of the topics below. Your essay should refer to at least FOUR of the works studied in the course. Your answer should be detailed, include quotations from the written works or examples from the film to support your claims, and be of a quality associated with the percentage assigned to this question.

Part B. (Worth 50% each) Two essays on 2 or more authors/filmmaker

Choose TWO of the following topics and write one essay on each topic. You must refer to texts from at least two of the authors or filmmakers on the course list, but you cannot write on any one author or filmmaker more than once. For example, if you write on “A Modest Proposal” in essay 1, you cannot write on “A Modest Proposal” in essay 2. Your answer should be detailed, include quotations from the written works or examples from the film to support your claims, and be of a quality associated with the percentage assigned to this question.
