I work with students interested in applying anthropological theory and method to solving wicked global health problems. I train anthropologists of global health. In the SFU Faculty of Health Sciences, MSc and PhD degree requirements allow for the creation of a tailor-made research program specific to a student’s previous experience, interests, and strengths. Masters students can expect to spend 2.5-3 years earning a degree; PhD students can expect 3-5 years, depending on the subject area, funding success, and their progress through the program.
I am currently working with students conducting research in African countries. I especially encourage students from Africa with an interest in developing social science expertise to contact me.
