[253] Amnesty program for Assignment Zero

Good evening, 253 students.

We've had some students just join us - late additions from the wait list, I guess - and some of you (well, three) didn't realize the urgency in my first e-mail about assignment zero and figured you'd do it next week. And now you hear that I am being a hard-ass and deducting marks!

For all of you... an amnesty program. Get your assignment in, print it up (with or without my reply - I reply to all of them), and bring it to tutorial. The assignment is simple - you just have to send me a *plain text* (no attachments) e-mail (no webCT submissions) - and here are the details. If you haven't done it yet, this is your chance!

Assignment Zero is a simple "scavenger hunt" type of assignment. To complete this assignment you have to send the instructor an e-mail that answers the following questions:

    * What is your name and SFUID?
* Do you have (or have access to) a digital camera (or mobile phone) that can take video clips? * Do you use an instant messaging service (MSN, iChat, ICQ, etc), and if so which one? If you use more than one, which one do you use most often? * Do you have a blog or other personal web page (Blogger, MySpace?, Xanga, etc)? * Do you have a mobile phone, and if so, do you use text messaging regularly (more than once a week)?

Once you have sent that e-mail, print up a copy and bring it to your tutorial to confirm that it is completed.

Welcome to CMNS 253!
