REPORTS TO MANAGER, INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
Play a key role in the CNO Data Management program by identifying both College and external data needs, continuously enhancing methods to gather, store and disseminate information and promoting the accurate analysis and interpretation of the College’s data.
• Coordinate operational activities related to the IM Statistics Group. • Design and implement mechanisms to access, analyze and present data to support evidence-based decision-making. • Coordinate the development and ongoing support of the College’s data warehouse and data dashboards. • Prepare written reports and oral presentations summarizing data analysis results, including detailed description of statistical methods, detailed analysis of results and synthesis of conclusions. • Ensure smooth work or information flow within/between teams, through the understanding of how the services of the Statistics group complement the services provided by other teams • Conduct ongoing assessment of client needs and the availability and relevancy of information; determine and implement quality assurance standards and procedures for meeting needs. • Act as a liaison with external statistics stakeholders to ensure the College’s interests are represented.
Knowledge and Experience: § Masters degree in statistics or acceptable equivalent. § 5 + years of progressively responsible experience in statistical analysis and data management. § Ability to provide context for data and educate internal and external stakeholders on data use. § High level of computer literacy including MS Office, database management and statistical analysis packages (SPSS).
§ Able to operate in a client-consultative environment, by cultivating relationships and understanding business needs. § Enthusiastic about providing service and advice to internal and external stakeholders, keeping in mind capabilities and limitations of resources within team § Seeks out and utilizes new resources to build on what is already known. § Able to synthesize information from various sources, perform detailed and complex data analysis, and prepare concise and relevant presentation of material § Able to articulate factual and conceptual information clearly, altering communication style and information relayed, based on the audience, § Able to organize own and others’ time to complete multiple tasks with conflicting priorities § Adapts readily to new technologies § Able to listen and reflect on concerns expressed by stakeholders and clients and respond in a constructive and objective manner.
