Hours of Work: 
38.75 hours per week; 7.75 hours per day. Mondays through Fridays.
Salary/Benefits: This position is classified as a T3. Minimum; $49,500 per annum. Maximum; $58,000 per annum.

Responsibilities/Duties:

This position is a shared position between the Alberta Cancer Registry and Cancer Surveillance beginning immediately.

Reporting to the Programmer Analyst in Cancer Registry and the Manager of Cancer Surveillance, your duties include:

·  Assisting in the documentation, maintenance, running, and improvement of Cancer Registry programs and accessory databases;
·  Assisting in Cancer Registry activities and projects as needed, including queries of the Cancer Registry database for data quality assurance and research projects;
·  Participate on specific committees when assigned;
·  Conduct data extraction and linkages;
·  Create databases for specific research projects;
·  Perform data analyses to answer data requests and ensure required procedures and guidelines are followed;
·  Disseminate data in an efficient and secure manner;
·  Assist with the preparation of graphs, tables and written reports for publication;
·  Facilitate knowledge exchange between co-workers in the Cancer Registry and Surveillance;
·  Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Minimum BSc with a background and interests relevant to career, statistics, and database management. Must have training or experience with SAS software and be familiar with Microsoft Office, SQL, and calculating statistics.
