The position is embedded in a leading biostatistics/informatics initiative at McGill and offers considerable opportunities for professional development. This position will be located at the Jewish General Hospital, Montreal, QC. The recently-launched Ludmer Centre for Neuroinformatics and Mental Health focuses on understanding the genetic, epigenetic and environmental influences that shape brain development including structure and function, and the risk for mental disorders. This Centre spans the Lady Davis Research Institute/Institut de Recherches Lady Davis, the Douglas Mental Health University Institute/Douglas Institut Universitaire en Santé Mentale, and the Montreal Neurological Institute/Institut Neurologique de Montréal, all affiliated with McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Ongoing studies have collected longitudinal and cross-sectional data on many well-characterized samples from a range of tissues, and offer unique opportunities for studies of genotype–epigenotype–phenotype relations. Qualifications: Masters degree or more in Statistics, Biostatistics or Epidemiology with a strong quantitative focus, as well as some experience in data analysis. Good programming skills are essential, including knowledge of scripting and job control on high performance computation clusters. Experience and knowledge in human genetics would be a strong asset.
