The Research Analyst supports programs and/or policy development goals through the development and delivery of research studies, and communication of findings through various forums including working groups, various committees such as Judicial Administrative Committee and Executive Operations briefings.
This position contributes to the continual improvement of judiciary programs, systems, methodologies and tools. The Research Analyst is responsible for conducting research and analysis to support policy analysis, policy advisory services and evaluation of issues impacting the judiciary. This position also provides expertise and knowledge to create the analytical tools and queries required to collect, generate, collate, and verify data to support accurate reporting to management and executives. This position supports the efficient administration of the judiciary throughout the province, exercising considerable judgment in conducting regional and program area analysis. Analysis provided by this position relates to a broad range of often high profile and sensitive issues, which directly impact performance, capital and resources allocations, and other efficiency and service quality goals. The Research Analyst develops and provides senior management and the Judiciary with meaningful business intelligence, in the form of reports, issue papers and briefing notes to support senior decision-making regarding the progress and outcomes of operational program changes and enhancements. The Research Analyst works with a variety stakeholders, including the judiciary, ministry analysts, and external consultants in the course of their work.
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate that you have the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, mathematics, public or business administration or social science field, or equivalent; and
- Experience in designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
