UNIVERSITY OF VICTORIA - DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS
LIMITED-TERM, FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITION IN STATISTICS

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics, at the University of Victoria, invites applications for a limited-term faculty position in Statistics, from July 1st, 2016 to June 30th, 2017. This is a full-time teaching appointment for one year only. Junior statisticians who want to further their teaching experience are particularly encouraged to apply.

Applicants with expertise in any area of statistics are welcome to apply. Candidates must hold an MSc or PhD in statistics or a closely related field and must have experience in teaching post secondary statistics courses. Experience in teaching statistics courses at the upper undergraduate and graduate levels will be an asset.

The primary role of the appointee will be teaching. The teaching load is six courses over the duration of this appointment.

Applications should be made through MathJobs.org.   A complete application will include a cover letter detailing interest in, and experience pertaining to, the position; a research statement; a curriculum vitae; and a teaching dossier.  These should be uploaded to the MathJobs site.

Applicants should arrange for at least three letters of reference to be uploaded to MathJobs in support of their application.  At least one letter should address teaching.
