Senior Advisor, Advanced Analytics 



About the job 

The Senior Advisor, Advanced Analytics is responsible for designing, developing and evaluating quantitative methodologies, models and solutions to assess operational performance and support decision-making. The incumbent is also responsible for data management and analysis of operations data systems. The Senior Advisor has strong technical, mathematical, and analytical skills with an ability to interpret ambiguous information and understand clients’ needs and is able to multi-task and liaise effectively. 



What you need to succeed To qualify for the position, you must have: 


· Graduation from a recognized university with a specialization in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science or another specialty related to the duties of the position; 

· A minimum of six (6) years of experience conducting data analysis and/or developing mathematical models using mathematical/statistical software such as SAS (Statistical Analysis Systems), R or SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences); 

· Demonstrated experience conducting investigations into data discrepancies; 

· Demonstrated experience in an advisory role and providing recommendations to management; 

· Experience summarizing findings in writing and drafting clear and concise reports and presentations with a strong attention to detail; 

· Experience developing and delivering presentations that synthesize findings in a business context. 



Skills and abilities 

· Ability to influence decision-makers and liaise effectively; 

· Ability to multi-task and manage priorities; 

· Strong technical skills with an emphasis on analytical software; 

· Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to understand and apply concepts; 

· Ability to interpret ambiguous information and seek solutions to problems; 

· Deadline and detail-oriented; 

· Ability to work independently and to work well under pressure; 

· Strong interpersonal skills and works well in a team environment; 

· Ability to understand clients’ needs; 

· Strong skills in research, analysis and problem-solving accompanied by an ability to synthesize and interpret complex information and situations; 

· Meticulous, rigorous and thorough; 

· Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate concepts and results to non-technical and business audiences.
