Fwd: Base Units Available to Work in the Statistics Workshop in 1181



Dear all,

We are still looking for applicants for Teaching Assistant positions in our Statistics Workshop this coming Spring term.

Required qualifications:
    • For Statistics Workshop: demonstrable familiarity with the methods and concepts in the courses supported by the Workshop in the semester of the appointment.  These may include any of STAT 100, 101, 201, 203, 270, 302, and 305.
    • Competence in oral and written English.
    • For undergraduate applicants, a grade of B- or better in STAT 330 is preferred.

Applicants should indicate how many base units they are applying for. A little lesson on a Base Unit for undergraduate students:

A Base Unit is 42 hours per semester (for 13 weeks) which is 3 hours/week for Workshop TA assignments.


For the Spring semester the rate for one Base Unit is:
- Biweekly Rate: $118.94   Semester rate:  $1011
