Tenure-Track Position – Business Analytics
The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics (Lazaridis School) at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Operations & Decision Sciences area, commencing July 1, 2019. This position is subject to budgetary approval.
Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. or completion of a PhD in Operations Research, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field within one year and strong records or promise in both research and teaching in core business analytics.
Successful candidates for the position must have
· Demonstrated research potential on applications of data science to business and/or economics;
· Ability (a) to publish in top-tier journals or proceedings and (b) to maintain a highly productive research agenda;
· Ability to effectively teach core decision sciences and business analytics courses at the undergraduate and graduate (MBA, MSc, and PhD) levels;
· Exceptional technical knowledge of data science fields such as machine learning and data visualization.
