Tenure-Track Position – Business Analytics
The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics (Lazaridis School) at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor
level in the Operations & Decision Sciences area, commencing July 1, 2019. This position is subject to budgetary approval.
Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. or completion of a PhD in Operations Research, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field within one year and strong
records or promise in both research and teaching in core business analytics.
Successful candidates for the position must have
research potential on applications of data science to business and/or economics;
(a) to publish in top-tier journals or proceedings and (b) to maintain a highly productive research agenda;
to effectively teach core decision sciences and business analytics courses at the undergraduate and graduate (MBA, MSc, and PhD) levels;
technical knowledge of data science fields such as machine learning and data visualization.
