BC Public Service Agency
Senior Behavioural Scientist
We are looking for scientist-practitioners with a passion for experimental design and a desire to have an impact on issues facing the people and places of our province

$73,400.00 - $101,900.00 annually
Two permanent positions available

The BC Behavioural Insights Group (BC BIG) is recruiting two Senior Behavioural Scientists. If you thrive in a nimble, results-driven and collaborative environment and you like to draw on your research methods, data analysis, and knowledge translation skills to improve public programs and services, we think you’ll enjoy working with us.

Reporting to the Group Head, the Senior Behavioural Scientists will be responsible for leading a portfolio of behavioural insights projects. These projects will involve conducting scientifically and ethically sound interventions to solve behaviour-based policy problems and then analyzing, interpreting and presenting results to senior decision-makers in the form of recommendations and policy advice. The Senior Behavioural Scientists will have the opportunity to work across the policy spectrum, including projects in environment, healthcare, social services, natural resources, the economy, public safety and education. There may also be opportunities to teach, publish and collaborate with the academic community and beyond.

At BC BIG, we care about generating high quality evidence to inform decision-making and we believe our work is made better by building strategic partnerships inside and outside of government. We also care about our people. The BIG team supports curiosity, flexibility, and professional growth. Come work with us in our bright, modern workspace in beautiful downtown Victoria and be part of a growing innovation ecosystem in British Columbia.
