The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Minnesota Duluth has two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Statistics available beginning Fall 2019. Job duties include participating fully in the three traditional components of academic activities: teaching (including course development and student advisement), research, and service to the department, University and discipline.

Required Qualifications:Ph.D. in statistics or equivalent from a regionally accredited university awarded or confirmed by July 1, 2019; evidence of research activity; and teaching experience at the college level (teaching assistantship experience is acceptable).

Preferred Qualifications: Excellence in written and oral communication; research accepted by refereed publications; collaborative, interdisciplinary research; experience in advising undergraduate- and graduate-student research; record of working effectively with a diverse student body; ability to teach upper division probability/statistics courses, such as probability, probability models, and statistical inference.
