Capilano University

The department of Mathematics and Statistics in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Capilano University invites applications for a regular, full time Instructor position. This appointment is a permanent ongoing position subject to a probationary period of two years. The start date is August 1st, 2019.

A PhD is recommended in either mathematics or statistics. Applicants should have a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level and have excellent communication skills. A typical workload would consist of teaching six courses per year as well as spending time assisting students in our math learning centre, but this could vary depending on the needs of the department. Duties would also include a variety of service and administrative work across the university, particularly in the area of program and course development. Preference will be given to candidates with areas of expertise in statistics and data science.
