The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Concordia University invites applications for one tenure-track position in Actuarial Mathematics. Candidates in any area of Actuarial Mathematics are encouraged to apply.
We anticipate filling this position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Appointments at a more senior level may also be considered subject to budgetary approval. Commensurate with rank on appointment, candidates will be assessed on their demonstrated potential
to attract diverse students and collaborators to Concordia University, conduct internationally-recognized research, secure research funds, teach and drive curricular development, and contribute to the continued accreditation and recognition of our Actuarial
Qualifications are a PhD, a strong research record, demonstrated interest/experience in teaching both at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and evidence of teaching effectiveness. Excellent communication skills are required. Recognized qualifications,
especially as a Fellow or Associate member, in one of the major North American actuarial organizations such as the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, the Casualty Actuarial Society, or the Society of Actuaries is an asset.
