Subject: [d-ssc] PhD position in biostatistics at McGill University


Applications are invited for a PhD position in biostatistics at the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health (EBOH) at McGill University with a focus on innovative clinical trials. The research is part of a collaboration with The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The PhD student will be focused on development of statistical methodology in design and analysis of Bayesian adaptive clinical trials with the exciting opportunity of working with the team of investigators in design and conduct of a large-scale clinical trial.

The successful applicant should have a MSc degree in statistics or biostatistics and be highly interested in health and epidemiological applications specifically clinical trials. Other requirements include a solid background in Bayesian inference, programming proficiency in R and excellent oral and written communication skills.

The position will begin on September 1, 2020 and will be funded $25,000 per year for 3 years.
