The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University
Calgary invites applications for a tenure-track instructor
the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, to start on or after
1st July 2020.
Duties include undergraduate and possibly graduate teaching in
Science and Statistics.
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD or MSc or equivalent in
Science or in a closely-related area, and will have good
skills, and a demonstrated commitment to quality teaching. They
hold a professional actuarial designation (Associate or Fellow) or
actively working towards such in the Canadian Institute of
Society of Actuaries, or Casualty Actuarial Society.
The Actuarial Science program at the University of Calgary is one
largest in Western Canada. It encompasses both an undergraduate
a (new) Actuarial Science specialization in our graduate (MSc and
