20-Year TOP DOG Database for each Breed

To mark 20 years of computerized Dogs in Canada's Top Dog standings, the statistician, Barry Truax, is offering a complete Canadian database of all Best of Breed, Group and BIS judging for each breed for the years 1988-2007, as a CD-ROM with all of the complete files included. Data for Terrier breeds starts with 1986. These files allow you to access all BB, Group and BIS records from that period by, for instance, specific dogs or judges. These files will allow you to track Group and BIS results for your breed in the following ways, plus the annual standings:
1) Group Level Judging where for each judge, all of the dogs they have judged are listed, along with their placements.

2) Group Level Judging where for each dog, all of the judges that have judged it are listed, along with their placements.

3) Group Level Judging where for each judge, a statistical summary of their group and BIS placements is given, including the percentage of groups judged that have resulted in a placement for the breed.

4) Group Level Judging where for each dog, a statistical summary of its group and BIS placements is given, including the percentage of groups that have resulted in a placement for the dog. This results in multi-year career totals for each dog, ranked ordered according to their total number of points achieved.

5) Best in Show Level Judging where for each judge, all of the dogs they have judged are listed, along with their placements.

6) Best in Show Level Judging where for each dog, all of the judges that have judged it are listed, along with their placements.

7) Dogs in Canada Top Dog rankings (complete) for each year in the database.

8) Single year record holders listing (complete from the beginning of the Top Dog system), updated annually.

ANNUAL UPDATE NOTICE:

I am currently (as of 2008) compiling only Terrier data, and therefore only able to update the Database for Terrier breeds. This means the Terrier database will be sent to you for the years 1986-2010.

If you have already ordered the database for the years 1986-2007, then an update CD for all Terriers will be provided for $11.20; however, for a single breed I will try to send you the updated files for your breed via email at no charge. New orders will be for the entire Group 1986-2010.

Note that the files included are unformatted text files (with a .DOC extension) which allows them to be read by any word processor which can then format them for printing or web use.

Please specify your breed. For multiple breeds or varieties, there is no additional charge. Note that the CD-ROM includes the data for all breeds in a specific group.

A hard copy printout of the complete standings for each breed for a specific year can be ordered separate from this set of files, for $11.20 (HST included) from the same address.
