Grading:

• tutorial 10%
• Midterm 40%

Tutorials and Assignments

Further, there will be a series of quizzes in tutorial. The TA will select a True/False question at random from the study guide and students will have 10 minutes to explain why the question is true or false.

Finally, there will be a selection of end-of-chapter questions to be discussed in tutorial. Note: students are expected to have prepared answers for these questions before tutorials. TA's are not employed to simply give out answers to students who couldn't be bothered to do their homework.

Week 4: Suggested textbook problems  # 4, 5, 6, 7, 16, 21, 22,
             24, 27, 29 in Chapter 3.
             # 7, 8, 17, 20, 21, 22 in Chapter 4.

Week 5: Midterm, No tutorials

Week 6:Suggested textbook problems  # 5,6,7,18,19,20 in Chapter 6.

Week 7:  Suggested textbook problems  # 6, 11, 12, 13, 14 in Chapter 7.

Week 8: Suggested textbook problems # 2, 5, 7, 8 from Chapter 8

Week 9: Suggested textbook problems # 9, 10, 11 from Chapter 9.

Week 10: Suggested textbook problems # 1, 2, 4, 5, 12, 13  from Chapter 10.
 
Week 11: Suggested textbook problems # 6, 11, 14, 15, 16 from Chapter 14.
