Diploma (2 year):The selection process is competitive, with the following three factors taken into equal consideration:Post Diploma (1 year):
- Business Management (formerly IMST)
- Financial Management
- Human Resource Management
- Information Technology Management
- Integrated Management Studies
- International Trade and Transportation
- Marketing Management
- Operations Management
Diplomas from other Institutes:
- Business Administration Post Diploma
- Human Resource Management Post Diploma
If you have a diploma from another institute, you need to complete a "bridging program". This is accomplished by either of the two Post-diploma programs listed above or by direct entry into 2nd year of one of the diploma programs. After successful completion of the bridging program you may apply to the BCIT BBA program.
- Minimum two-year School of Business grade point average of 72%
- Minimum average of 72% in Business Communications 2, Macroeconomics, Business Law, and Statistics
- Letter of Application. This should be approximately 300 words in length and include a summary of work experience and reasons why you wish to pursue the BBA. The letter of application is in lieu of an interview and should be viewed as such.

- Yes, if you are in the fourth term of your diploma. Your GPA will be calculated based on the first three terms. If accepted, it will be provisional on completion of your fourth term.
- Yes, but you must first take the Business Administration Post diploma program (9 months) or the Human Resource Management Post diploma program (9 months). Then you will be subject to the regular entrance requirements.
- Yes, there are two options.
- Option One:
BCIT has a partnership with Thompson Rivers University - Open Learning (TRU-OL). First, you would register in their degree completion program. You would then receive a "Program Plan" on that plan. Part of that plan may be fullfilled by completing the Advanced Studies in Business (ASTB) Certificate at BCIT. The courses in the ASTB are the same as the core business courses in the BCIT BBA.
NOTE: This option is only available through Part-time Studies
- Option Two:
You can also consider other institutes. Each institute will have its own policy for transferability of your BCIT diploma. You will need to contact them directly.
- Yes and No:
- The minimum admission standard is the same whether part time or full time.
- However, if you meet the standard, there is no limitation on the number of part time students that will be admitted each term.
