Perform a preflight inspection

Using the Preflight feature, you can inspect PDF documents and review the results in detail. Preflight analyzes the document’s contents to determine the PDF’s validity for print production and other conditions. In addition, you can validate document content using PDF/X criteria, and then save the PDF file in PDF/X format for print production. (See Create a PDF/X-compliant file.)

To help you get started preflighting your document, you can choose a predefined profile. If these profiles don’t meet your production requirements, you can define your own.

To preflight a document:

	Choose Tools > Print Production > Preflight.
	Select a profile from the list.
	Click Execute.
