Home Page > Theses > Deferrals

A grade for your thesis must be submitted at the end of the term in which you are registered in the course.  If something happens that prevents you from meeting the end-of-term deadlines, your Academic Supervisor can submit a deferred (“DE”) grade; typically, thesis grades are due four days after the start of the examination period.

Note that grades deferred at the end of semester are good only until the end of the first week of classes of the following semester, at which time they change to an “F”.  To prevent this from happening, you must ask your Academic Supervisor to obtain a form from the Undergraduate Program Assistant.. He or she can approve your request by signing this form and submitting it to the Undergraduate Program Assistant by the first week of the following semester.

Thesis grades can be deferred for two semesters without UCC Chair approval
