My name is Xin Zhang, a lecturer in School of Materials and Metallurgy, Northeastern University(NEU). I am interested in the physico-chemistry of materials and metallurgy, the preparation of advanced materials, the characterization of material structures and properties, quantum chemistry, and so on.  Due to my limited efforts and capability, I am not accomplished in all these fields. But I can and must take part in many projects in these fields, because I want to learn much more and the situation of our research group gives me the god-given chance. I spend much time doing my research in the laboratory and now I have had some publications and finished some projects.

Teaching is another job of my duty, and I like it very much. I have tutored students and pupils since I was a sophomore in NEU. So I gained a lot of teaching experiences and that helped me much in my later teaching.

Although I have a little leisure time, I can enjoy my colorful living, such as playing tennis ball and Ping-Pong, cycling, writing, etc. The computer is rather attractive to me. I use word processing program to complete my papers or sometimes I learn programming to help me in data processing and to make interesting things.
