Another design field we all know a little about, but may not think to compare with education, is aeronautics.

Watch this short YouTube video about the Wright Brothers' "invention" of the airplane. Note similarities and differences you see between the task of learning how to build a working airplane and the task of learning how to design effective learning materials and experiences for people.
