SFU Partners with CCDI to Host UnConference Vancouver

February 03, 2020

As part of SFU’s ongoing commitment to improving equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) across its campuses, the university is partnering with the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) to host UnConference Vancouver at SFU Harbour Centre on February 11, 2020.

Presenters Cathy Gallagher-Louisy and Anne-Marie Pham will hold a full day of workshops and presentations that teach practical strategies for being more culturally competent and encourage attendees to foster inclusion both in the workplace and in the world at large.

SFU previously worked with CCDI to conduct the Diversity Meter initiative, and the university is excited to strengthen this partnership further as it moves towards ensuring that SFU is a place of belonging, inclusion, fairness and mutual respect for everyone.

Want to learn more about diversity and inclusion at work? SFU’s partnership with CCDI allows staff and faculty to access resources on many EDI-related topics:

  • CCDI webinars: indicate that you work for a CCDI Employer Partner to get free access
  • Email kr@ccdi.ca with the subject line “Add to Knowledge Repository” to access the CCDI Knowledge Repository, which contains over 1,000 Canadian-specific diversity and inclusion reports, research articles, and more
