Andrew Palmer, Research Assistant 

Andrew is a student in the Master's of Resource Management (Planning) program in the School of Resource and Environmental Management (REM) at SFU. He previously completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo, studying the intersection between environmental issues and business innovation. After graduating, we worked in consulting to identify solutions for urban stormwater management issues and resultant downstream water quantity / quality impacts. Andrew is also the recipient of a GPS Graduate Fellowship and is currently the 2022/2023 co-president of the REM Planning Students Association. Here at ACT, Andrew is highly motivated to explore the just interweaving of Indigenous and western worldviews for improved water resources and natural heritage management, especially with regards to nature-based solutions implementation and climate change adaptation.
