Copper Chili Knife

Incan Copper chili Knife

Artifact # 96.2.50 Part of the Braches Peruvian Collection.
We know this is made of copper because of its distinctive green colour. It would appear to be in the shape of a chili, which we know was an important Inka crop. But is it really a chili? Was it used in ritual or was it used in everyday cooking? These are questions archaeologists ask all the time. What do you think this represents and/ or was used for?
