SACAMA

Sacama is an agricultural residence built upon a series of terraces high on the mountain edge. Due to the vertical nature of the Inka Trail, most architecture and fields are built on artificially created terraces. This residence may have served to provide food for the Inka Empire and pasturage to the state owned llama and alpaca herds.
