In my position as laboratory technician, I am responsible for a variety of tasks in the general department labs, with a specific focus on the isotope lab. In the department, I assist in the day-today operations in the Archaeology, Museum, and Centre for Forensic Research laboratories. I prepare, purchase, and organize lab materials and serve as the primary departmental health and safety resource. I also assist with collections and equipment management and departmental outreach. In the isotope lab, I prepare samples for analysis and assist lab users with instrument use and lab protocols.
