Research Areas: Maritime Precontact Archaeology, Historic Archaeology, and Landscape Archaeology.

Introduction:

I’m currently employed as an Intermediate Archaeologist with Davis MacIntyre & Associates in Halifax Nova Scotia. I’ve been contracted in the field of Cultural Resource Management and holding Heritage Research Permits in Nova Scotia since graduating from Saint Mary’s University in 2010. I’ve supported and directed on a variety of different sites throughout the Maritimes ranging from the Paleo-Indian period all the way to 20th Century military sites. I am also an active member of both the Nova Scotia Archaeological society as well as the Association of Professional Archaeologist of New Brunswick.

M.A. Research:

I will use precontact predictive modeling and paleo-shoreline data along the Shubenacadie River Valley to argue for stricter ARIA standardization for archaeology consulting.

Other Activities:

Other activities I am involved include personal research projects with collogues as well as supervising and assisting public archaeology digs with the Museum of Industry. I am also an outdoor enthusiast, flint knapper, and hockey goaltender.
