Ginevra Toniello receives 2016 Barbara Lawrence Award

Ginevra Toniello received the 2016 Barbara Lawrence Award for best student paper submission and presentation at the Society of Ethnobiology meetings held in Tucson Arizona in March. Barbara Lawrence was an outstanding zooarchaeologist and mammalogist and this award recognizes the research efforts of student scholars in any area of ethnobiology.  Ginevra’s paper “Ancient Clam Gardens and Ecological Enhancement on Northern Quadra Island, British Columbia" is based on her MA thesis research under the supervision of Dana Lepofsky.  Ginevra received a cash prize of $350.00.
