Types of personal information in the PIB

Name (of vehicle owner/operator), address, telephone number, email address, student/employee ID number, license plate number, and individual parking management database account number.

Purpose for which personal information obtained / compiled and used / disclosed

In order to initiate and conduct the parking appeal process, the Campus Security Department must collect personal information from the appellant. The information is used to confirm the identity of the appellant and that all parking infractions being appealed have been paid. An appeal cannot proceed until payment has been received for all relevant parking infractions.

Individuals using personal information or to whom it is disclosed

Parking Services Manager, Parking Services Supervisor, Parking Clerks, members of the Parking Appeals Review Committee, and Systems Consultant.

Individuals included in PIB

Members of the University community, including students, staff and faculty. Members of the general public who visit the University.
