Description, purpose and use of records

Records relating to inquiries by the Vice-President Research Office into allegations of misconduct in research by members of the university community.

Records include correspondence, memoranda, forms, reports, exhibits, transcripts, notes and working papers.

Files are arranged alphabetically by name of researcher.

The University's principles and standards for conducting research are articulated in its Policies on University Research Ethics (R20.01) and Integrity in Research and Misconduct in Research (R60.01). R60.01 establishes the procedures to be followed for investigations into allegations of misconduct.
