OFFA Advisory Committee
The OFFA Advisory Committee is made up of a wide range of representatives from Simon Fraser University, the Francophone and Francophile communities of British Columbia and from both Federal and Provincial governments. Its role is to advise OFFA on matters pertaining to the development and promotion of its programs and activities. Advisory Committee mandate.
Two internal (university) committees have been established to ensure the success of the office and its programs.
French Cohort Program (FCP) Steering Committee – Its membership is comprised of student and Faculty representatives from the departments of French, Political Science and History in FASS. The committee assists OFFA with planning program development and course delivery. The OFFA Associate Director (FASS) chairs the committee.
OFFA Faculty of Education (FOE) Steering Committee – Its membership is comprised of the Associate Dean of the FOE, Faculty members of the 4 program areas (Field Programs, Undergraduate Programs, Graduate Programs & Professional Programs) as well as designated administrative representatives and Faculty members of French Programs in the FOE. The OFFA Associate Director (FOE) chairs the committee.
The two steering committees meet at least twice a year.
