Course Textbooks:
The laboratory outlines will explain what you have to do. You will have to do some reading and library research, however, to answer some of the questions that are posed. Reference will be made to the textbook Ekert's Animal Physiology (formerly Ekert and Randall, but now Randall, Burggren and French). The new (and old) editions of this book will be on reserve in the library. There are other animal physiology and general physiology textbooks in the library that you may find equally useful.
Course Evaluation:
You are required to write up four laboratory exercises - one from each two week rotation. Each of these will be worth up to 20% of your final grade. Instructions for lab write up will pe presented in class.
There will be three 30-min quizzes on the material covered three other laboratory exercises. Each of these will be worth up to 5% of your final grade.
In the final rotation, you will be asked to revisit an earlier laboratory exercise. The write up will be worth up to 5% of your final grade.
