Ms. Serena Bains
Undergraduate Student Member

Serena Bains (she/they) is a fifth-year health sciences student in the population and quantitative sciences stream. In addition to her studies, she is an active member of the SFU community. She began her involvement in the community as a member of the SFU Disability and Neurodiversity Alliance (DNA), where she was the Council Representative for the constituency group. She also works as an accessibility liaison for the Sustainability Office as a member of SFU DNA. Through these experiences she gained a disability justice lens, which she hopes to apply in her most recent positions of Vice-President University and Academic Affairs, as a student Senator and as the undergraduate student representative on the Board of Governors.
