Seniors 85 or older Needed - Participants Invited

Dr. Angela Brooks-wilson is recruiting anyone aged 85 or older to an ongoing study of aging.

The interview for the study is fun and is done at the Senior's home.  Participants will be asked questions about their health, lifestyle and family health history, and undergo physical measurements and do a small number of activities. A blood sample is taken at a separate visit.

If you know someone 85 or older who would enjoy being interviewed, please contact the Research Coordinator, Amy Williams at 604-675-8151 (toll free 1-888-675-8001 ext. 8151) or email studycoordinator@bcgsc.ca

Cardiovascular Physiology Lab research - Participants Invited

Dr. Victoria Claydon's Cardiovascular Physiology Lab research team is looking to examine blood vessel stiffness and blood pressure control to better understand fainting risk in adults. Although we will be testing adults (age 19+), we are particularly interested in testing participants aged 30 and over. During testing, measurements of blood vessel stiffness will be taken at the neck, wrist, and inner thigh while you lie quietly. Blood pressure control will also be measured during a breathing test, and while you stand up. Please click here for the flyer. To participate, or to find out more information, please email Erin Williams at elwillia@sfu.ca.

Putting Lab Research - Participants Invited

Dr. Andy Hoffer's Neurokinesiology Lab research team is evaluating putting performance using a modified putter and grip that may help golfers whose putting is affected by tremor or yips. Participants can be experienced golfers with or without tremor, and also non-golfers with or without tremor. Please click here for the flyer to find more information.
