Valued Members of the BRC Community,
The Bill Reid Centre for Northwest Coast Studies at Simon Fraser University (BRC), is an interdisciplinary research centre that engages with new media technologies to collaboratively explore the material and visual heritage of Coastal First Peoples, from community belongings and historic photographs to contemporary art and entire landscapes.
The BRC plays a vital role in promoting respect and understanding between settler society and Coastal First Nations. As we navigate this complex work, it is vital that we take time to reflect on our past and reframe our vision to look ahead to the future.
As the first step in our 5-year strategic planning process, we invite YOU to help us shape that future.
We invite you to join us for one of two community design jams in Vancouver & Burnaby on September 26th & 27th respectively. You will have the opportunity to hear more about the Bill Reid Centre and help us co-create a vision for the future. We invite you as a witness and collaborator as we walk this journey together.
Please RSVP Sharan_dhillon@sfu.ca to indicate your attendance at your preferred time and venue.
