Carrying on "Irregardless": Humour in Contemporary Northwest Coast Art.

Co-curated by Dr. Martine Reid, Bill Reid Gallery Director of Content and Research, and Tahltan guest curator Peter Morin, the exhibition will comprise 60 diverse works by 28 Northwest Coast artists, and explore the broad stream of Aboriginal humour that flows through Northwest Coast art and life.

As part of this exhibition the Gallery will present a series of public programs titled Laughing "Irregardless": Multimedia Aboriginal Humour, a celebration of humour's power to heal and unify.  Curated and moderated by Aboriginal filmmaker, Loretta Todd, this series will be part of the SFU Public Square events at Harbour Centre. Check the Gallery's website for more details.
