PARTICIPANT INCLUSION INFORMATION FORM
SFU Camps Inclusion Policy
SFU Camps is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment to all camp participants regardless of exceptionality or behaviour.
By providing us with information about your child's medical diagnosis, disability, sensitivities, learning style, etc. prior to the start of camp, we are able work together to ensure your child has a successful, positive, and memorable camp experience.
The information you share with us through our Inclusion Information Form will only be shared with Camp Administrators and staff working directly with your child. This may include strategies for working with your child (eg. how to calm your child down, help your child focus, etc.), sensitivities, and / or general information that may affect your child’s well-being and enjoyment at camp.
Please Note: While our staff works hard to adapt camp programming for participants with exceptionalities, SFU Camps is unable to provide assistance with toileting, changing, lifting or carrying, or administer medication. Should your child require this type or similar assistance, we kindly ask that a parent, caregiver, or family member be available to provide care and support when needed. As well, at this time SFU Camps is unable to provide dedicated 1-1 assistance to campers.
