Make a positive difference in the lives of newcomer youth
The Connect Through Homework program offers mentoring and homework support to young English Language Learners in Grades 8–12. As a Program Activator, you will help high school students with their homework, develop and run games/activities, and help develop conversational skills.

Support the SFU Surrey - TD Community Engagement Centre as a Volunteer Engagement Assistant!
Even though this is a PAID opportunity, you are still helping people, so we think it will bring you plenty of joy.
As a Volunteer Engagement Assistant, you will work collaboratively to implement the community engagement volunteer program through recruitment, on-boarding, follow-up, and recognition tasks that support volunteers through the process.

SUPPORT NEWCOMER ADULTS WITH ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING IN A VIRTUAL CLASSROOM!
As a Newcomer Engagement Facilitator, you will provide support to MOSAIC’s LINC program. You’ll help students with listening, speaking, reading and writing activities in both small groups and one-to-one, and you will have the opportunity to lead small groups of students in conversation to help them become more confident and proficient in spoken English.
Program dates and times
You have choices! Mondays, Thursdays or Fridays, either 9am-11am or 12pm-2pm. May 10th to June 16th, 2021.

Take a leadership role supporting newcomer adults with english
English Conversation Circles are offered through a collaboration between the SFU Surrey-TD CEC and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. BC Settlement and Integration Services (BCSIS). By helping to remove language barriers through weekly conversations, you will be supporting BCSIS clients integrate better into their workplaces and understand more about their rights and responsibilities at work.
As a Lead Volunteer, you will be supporting the Program Coordinator with program delivery and supporting other volunteers in the program. This position includes an HONORARIUM at the end of the term.
