Join us this Friday for the opposite of Doomscrolling.
Since March the Covid-19 pandemic has left a great many of us physically distancing in our homes, engaging in the ritual of “Doomscrolling”—endlessly skimming through news and social media feeds. Each night ends the way the day began, with an endless scroll through social media in a desperate search for clarity. Doomscrolling has never been harder to resist, despite the anxiety it’s sure to induce.
We want to offer you a different path to feel like you’re in control and can make a difference.
The world is a big place and impacting local communities is something you have the power to do via the SFU Student-Community Engagement Competition (SCEC). You can work with fellow students, alumni, and community organizations to register your idea for the chance to win $3000 by December 4th!
Not sure how to get started, who to work with, or how to develop your idea? Join us this Friday, Nov 13th 3PM-4:30PM for the SCEC Design Jam!
