SFU CED 2019 Intensive Confirmed - Applications Due August 31st!
We are pleased to announce our 2019 Fall Intensive lineup for the SFU Community Economic Development (CED) Certificate Program. This October we are bringing together a fantastic group of CED leaders to share their expertise in:
- Indigenomics / Indigenous economic development
- Economic development for community well-being
- Social enterprise development and the social economy
- Local investment and community business growth
- CED project design for social justice and economic inclusion
This year most of the intensive will take a team teaching approach whereby several instructors will be in the room to teach collaboratively and have greater participation in breakout groups. Each of our instructors are practitioners with deep experience in the field, and they are committed to supporting SFU CED students in preparing for their careers beyond the program. This year's instructors include:
Carol Anne Hilton, CEO, Indigenomics Institute
Amy Robinson, Executive Director, LOCO BC
Heather O'Hara, Executive Director, BC Association of Farmers' Markets
Karen Peachey, Principal, Access Planning Ltd.
Jeremy Stone, Director, SFU Community Economic Development
We are excited to launch this year's program with such an accomplished group of practitioners, and we are looking forward to our new cohort of students. If you would like to join us this year, visit our certificate website to learn more.
