Biography

I joined SFU in 2009. I work with faculty and staff to design and plan programs, curriculum and courses. I am also a certified leadership coach and trained professional facilitator and integrate principles from these practices into my work with academic units. I hold a master of arts and a master of education.

I believe that learning is inextricably situated within disciplinary communities, and positive educational outcomes  come about from thoughtful learning design at the course and program level and long-term collaboration amongst faculty, staff and students. I am  committed to offering the SFU community  evidence-based support drawing on global expertise and literature from higher education and disciplinary educational theory and practice.  I value building strong, working  partnerships with faculty and staff in academic units. My proudest accomplishments at SFU to date have been to contribute to efforts  advance the Beedie School of Business’s curriculum, programs and collegial professional development culture through almost eight years of rewarding collaboration and consulting and to help faculty and professional staff from the Faculty of Education to launch the Centre for English Language Learning Teaching and Research.

My ares of expertise include higher education, learning, curriculum design and development, program planning, business and management education, technology-enhanced learning, and disciplinary literacy development.
