Aaron Hoyle

Masters Student

Aaron grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and received a Bachelor’s degree in mineral resources engineering (BEng) from Dalhousie University in 2016, which included work in the Canadian mining and energy sectors. After graduating, he worked as a junior engineer for two years with Resource Capital Gold Corp focusing on ground support and ventilation system design, and strategic planning. At EMRG, Aaron hopes to gain an understanding of energy-economy systems, and how these systems are best represented within quantitative models. He aims to apply his analytical background and his interdisciplinary training at REM to contribute to informed discussions around sustainable energy and materials policies. Aaron enjoys playing soccer, cycling, snowboarding, surfing, making music, and cooking.
