DNA and RNA Chemistry
Ribozymes and Deoxyribozymes; combinatorial selections for new DNA and RNA structures and functions; DNA-based sensors; DNA-based nanotechnology
We are interested in the chemical and biochemical properties of the two nucleic acids, DNA and RNA, with special regard to novel structural and functional possibilities for these nucleic acids.
Two major areas of interest are:
- New catalytic activities for DNA and RNA, and control of ribozyme activity.
- DNA nanotechnology and sensor development.
